I’m not much of an orange or traditional fall decoration girl. But I do love fall leaves and when I found orange modeling clay in my craft cabinet couldn’t pass up the chance to make DIY fall magnets. As expected, they are pretty simple to make and your family and/or friends would love them as gifts. Either way, they are putting me in the fall spirit.
DIY Fall Magnets You’ll Love!
(This post may contain affiliate links. Read my full disclosure here. )
Here’s what you’ll need for DIY Clay magnets:
- Modeling Clay – Choose 3 or 4 of your favorite colors
- Small round magnets
- Leaf cookie cutter
- Glue Gun
I chose orange, yellow, and brown for my leaves but change it up. Do what you think is pretty!
How to Make DIY Fall Magnets:
1.) Roll out the clay
2.) Cut out as you would if you were making cookies
3.) Let air dry until completely dried through. These do take a few days to try but you’ll be able to tell they’re done when they no longer have a sheen. I love the specific brand of modeling clay I chose because when it dries it’s similar to foam which makes them nice and light.
4.) Hot glue magnets on the back.
Let them sit for a day or overnight before using. Now enjoy!
