Welcome! My name is Sarah and I’m so glad you’re here.
A Little Bit About Me…
My name is Sarah and I run a blog called Pretty Simple Ideas focusing on all things SIMPLE LIVING but more specifically on minimalism, motherhood, and modern homemaking. I am a former Capitol Hill communications Director and reporter turned stay-at-home mom. I have always had a love for all things home, garden, and homemaking. I’ve also been married for over seven years and have two little girls. We currently live in Washington, D.C.
I also talk about my faith a lot because it’s the most important part of my life and while decluttering your house is good, knowing God is better.
Generally, I try to live a pretty slow, simple, and sustainable lifestyle but I’m also practical so I never take any of these to the extreme.
Stick around for tips and encouragement to declutter your home, keep your home clean, grow in motherhood, fight back against consumerism, grow in your faith, grow a plant or two, live with less, live within your means, turn your house into a home, and generally pursue contentment in the life you were given.
My Mission Statement
My goal here at Pretty Simple Ideas is to live slow, simple, and surrendered.
