For those that love make-up, you’re going to want to whip up this DIY makeup setting spray fast. Although I’ve never tried Mac’s make-up setting spray, I hear it’s a pretty good knock-off. And if you’re into making your own makeup you’ll also enjoy this DIY Foundation that’s Good for your Skin.
Regardless, I have tried mine and am a big fan. I checked my makeup at 3 pm the other day and my blush was still in place. It also prevents my eye make-up from smudging, which is a good thing because no one likes to realize they’ve been walking around all day with mascara marks below their eyes. Since I sometimes make my own mascara, I don’t always get the right balance and occasionally make a batch that smudges. However, the days I use my make-up setting place it stays put.
Also, it’s full of good-for-you ingredients, so I find it’s helping clear my skin a bit too. The only thing that takes getting used to is the feel of it; it can feel a little waxy. I’m not sure if that’s the case with all make-up setting sprays or just mine, but it’s a small price to pay for not having to reapply my blush or walk around with raccoon eyes.

DIY Makeup Setting Spray
WHAT YOU WILL NEED for DIY MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY
- 4 ounces distilled water
- 4 teaspoons vegetable glycerin
- 4 drops rose essential oil
- Small glass spray bottle
To make it, simply pour all the ingredients in a small spray bottle and shake well.
TO USE:
- Spray lightly, and 18-24 inches from your face. Trust me, too close and your face will be dripping wet.
You might want to try this homemade powder foundation with it as well.
This should last about two weeks, perhaps more if you keep it in the fridge. Throw out once it starts to smell funny. Please come back and tell me how you like it!
