After several years of blogging as a hobby, I decided to start taking it more seriously. I felt I needed to start seeing results or I would burn out. In other words, I needed to start making $$$! I had reached the end of my own expertise in blogging tips, Instagram hacks and making money.
That’s when I decided to start financially investing in my blog. This past month I started a course from LadyBossBlogger called, “How to Stand Out as An Influencer” to better grow my Instagram, blog, and newsletter. Here are my honest initial thoughts on the course.
My Backstory as a Blogger

Before starting the course, I felt a little all over the place. Part of me wanted to build a platform for writing about my faith. But the other part loved to talk about all things home and garden and how to make money from that passion.
Because blogging can be an expensive hobby to keep up. And getting rid of my blog wasn’t an option. I love long-form writing, plus, in my mind, any social media influencer should have a blog to back them up. Not only because we can lose our social media followers in an instant. But also, because it’s one thing to take pretty pictures and post them. It’s another to share more in-depth about whatever you love.

So, before the course, I knew that…
- Blogging can be expensive to keep up.

A Quick Look At the Course

I had so many questions going into the course and thankfully they were answered. After going through the course once I took three full pages of notes. There were so many great pieces of advice I hadn’t heard elsewhere, that I wanted to make sure I didn’t forget it. I know I’m going to have to go through the course several more times to fully digest and implement what I learn though. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes!
