I love tinkering around with ingredients to come up with the latest DIY and this week realized my hair could use some love post baby and the winter. So here is my super simple DIY Hair Mist for nourished hair. Oh, and it can be made with your favorite essential oils so get excited.
Before we get to the DIY I feel like I need to post a disclaimer that everyone’s hair is different. While this worked for my hair, it may not work as well for yours. Also, I leave mine in and let my hair air dry but you might find it works better if you leave-in like a conditioner and then wash out. A lot of beauty products – even the most expensive ones – work for some and not others. This is just another way we are all unique!

Super Simple DIY Hair Mist for Nourished Hair
Here’s What You Will Need for the Simple DIY Hair Mist:
1.) 4oz Distilled Water
2.) 15-20 Drops of Essential Oils of Choice (Choose 3 from Rose, Lavender, Clary-Sage, Cedarwood, Rosemary or Peppermint Essential Oils)
3.) Glass Bottle
Each of these essential oils helps nourish your hair and add shine. Here is a guide on the best essential oils to use for your hair type!
For instance, if you have dry hair, try tea tree, peppermint, rose, or lavender. If you have oily hair, peppermint, basil, or geranium will be your friends! As you can see, many of the essential oils can tackle both dry, dull hair OR oily hair! For even shinier hair, try adding Epsom salts to your shampoo.
How To Use:
1.) Combine all the ingredients
2.) Shake well!
3.) Apply to towel dry hair, comb through, and allow hair to air dry.
Try it at least once a week for healthier hair.
